Keeping it Real (Estate): More Than Just A Phone Call

Being in the real estate business I spend a LOT of time on the phone. Some days, it's hours of calling and following up with people. I wonder if I'll leave my desk and find my phone has permanently become affixed to my ear, so I'm thankful for AirPods.

It's hard to physically sit at a desk and call my list of people every day. However, I have learned over time that there are few things more interesting than talking to people. Often these folks I call have no idea who I am, so I get a peek into where they're at in their lives.

Through these phone call connections I have the opportunity to speak with people who are in the midst of life changes, and therefore the idea of where "home" will be enters the equation. Events that range from the heavy to the aspirational: loss, growth, new babies, career changes, desire for something more, retirement, following family members...from all over the country. It's really a beautiful thing. How amazing that a home or property can be so intertwined into the cycle of life and the stories people write about who they are.

A home is rarely just a place, is it?
