Are You Canby Curious?

It’s been a busy month! I’m even pleased to report that the year has been off to a great start. The beginning of a new year is just another page of a calendar being turned over, so why does it feel so…different?

It’s a good different. Ever seen the movie Frozen where Ana sees her sister, Elsa, for the first time after Elsa runs away to the mountains out of fear and shame for her gift? Kinda like that, I suppose, without the fear and shame. Can you tell I am a girl mom who has seen that movie dozens of times?

My goal this year is to engage with the community I live in (and love!) and meet more of you in person. What’s different (the good different!) is that I am joining forces with local businesses in Downtown Canby for First Thursday Night Markets each month. The last couple years have been a challenge for our friends and neighbors in the small business community and I want to help them tell their story. These businesses make our communities livable and enjoyable, and I want them around!

When I tell people who are looking to a buy a home here in Canby about what it’s like to live here, I love to discuss the vibrant nature of our downtown, and how fun it can be to poke around in the little shops and restaurants. As a real estate agent who serves this area, I feel it is part of my job to help people u understand how livable our community is.
